Texas Sights

Here are a few things we've been up to in Texas lately:

We decided that our family is pretty great and that the kids are awesome. They've been doing so well adjusting to this new place. Brett wanted to take them out for a special dinner, so we went to a place that we have heard was really fun called, "The Pro Bass Shop." Imagine Cabela's, but bigger. I know; bigger than Cabela's? Yes. It was gigantic. And they had a restaurant.

This year in school, Connor decided to take choir for an elective. There was no convincing, no talking into, no forcing, or bribing. He did it willingly and really enjoyed it. He is in the middle in white. I wish we had a better picture of him. The dress code was "a nice shirt". Connor was the only one in a tie-- his choice. He looked so handsome! Connor really enjoyed choir this year, and his choir teacher was really great and making him feel welcome when we came.

Here is McKay with Bronson-- some great family friends. McKay is actually smiling normally in this; Bronson on the other hand, has a problem. Oh well, they have so much fun together!

McKay wanted a picture with Bronson's little sister, Kapri. She is adorable. We all love her, but she especially loves Connor. She calls him, "Conna". So, so cute!

We had a wonderful visit with the wonderful Jo! We love her and can't wait to see her again in a few weeks!

While Jo was here, we drove about an hour north to a famous place called Fredricksburg. It's a little tiny town that is very quaint and has lots of fun, touristy shops and some great places to eat, too!  We had fun exploring this place.

This store made a hand scrub for us to try out. You can tell who enjoyed it, and who didn't care for the feeling.

I had to get a shot by this old bike!

This plant is in front of our house. They are everywhere in TX, but I had never seen one before. They are sort of like mini palm trees.

One day, these tiny little shoots started growing out from the middle. Here they are large and in charge! These are probably 8" tall in this shot.

Here they are all the way open. Such a beautiful plant. We love our new plants in Texas!
